When should the W·H·Y Trap be used? 

The W·H·Y Trap can be used three seasons long in most climates.

SPRING:

Set the W·H·Y Trap out early to catch the wasp, hornet and yellowjacket queens before they build nests. For general guidelines on the timing when the queens emerge, search for your state below.

February/March: Hawaii

March/April: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia,  Louisiana, New Mexico, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas

April: Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia

April/May: Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, Wisconsin, Wyoming

May/June: Alaska

SUMMER & FALL:

Use the W·H·Y Trap to capture foraging workers when they're most likely to sting.

When to use W·H·Y?

Use it 3 seasons long: Catch the queens in spring; catch the workers from summer through fall.
